The point of this first appointment is not to entice you in and sign you up for a $770+ per hour VIP package. We don’t want to waste your time or create false expectations. If we’re not the right lawyers for you, we’ll tell you straight up. Either way, we’ll give you an honest, preliminary view of your rights, entitlements and next best course of action. The first consult is obligation free and 100% confidential.

So, let’s ditch the timesheets. Also, why would anyone sign a blank cheque in this day and age when they can know with certainty exactly what they’ll be paying.

You don’t need to pay anything upfront or before we commence work.

For ongoing matters:

We won’t charge you for an outside clerk filing court documents, printing, emailing, opening a file and other office overheads. We don’t charge you these disbursements because of where we operate from- the 21^stcentury. And also, we don’t take you for a fool.

By clear, we mean in black and white. If your dispute relates to property, we can prepare the necessary tables to show you exactly how a percentage is implemented at both the lower and upper ends of the reasonable range & the legal basis for it. You’ll get the chance to discuss the information we prepare and ask any other questions you may have. You’ll be well prepared to tackle a negotiation or mediation (with or without a lawyer). We always provide pragmatic advice based on practical realities (not theoretical ideas we’d like you to take a gamble on).

We complete most work remotely, that is, by phone, email or online. This means you can stay home and relax while we get everything sorted for you. If you require, we can also see you in our West Perth office by appointment.
